ROOT AND BRANCH: THE REV DAVE SOUND

Dave Peddle inhabits the persona of Rev. Dave to explore the roots of modern music in Folk, Country, and Blues. The music he writes and the music he performs as a solo artist, with the Rev. Dave Trio, and with Rev. Dave and the Sin Eaters draws on the deep wellsprings of traditional styles while remaining contemporary in spirit and sound.

The Rev’s. sound has been influenced most by Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, John Prine and Bob Dylan, and shares their eclectic openness to all styles of popular music. His collaborators in the Trio and the Sin Eaters bring influences from Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Sherry Ryan, and even Shania Twain, not to mention the Allman Brothers, Jason Isbell, the Salvation Army, Ron Hynes, and Roger Howse and Dennis Parker.

If you love the bend in the river of song where the muses’ many streams meet, then put to sea with Rev. Dave Music.
